A statement said that 27-year-old Eugenie, the Queen’s granddaughter and eighth in line to the throne, got engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month.

Princess Eugenie, who works as an art gallery director in London, met Brooksbank on a skiing trip, and they’ve been dating for years.
He’s the former manager of Mahiki, a nightclub in Mayfair, west London, and has previously said that he’d like to create a chain of traditional pubs one day.

Eugenie and Brooksbank are due to get married at St George’s Chapel in Windsor in autumn this year – the same chapel where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are due to wed this May.
It’s already been announced that their wedding won’t be a bank holiday in the UK (unlike the wedding of Prince William and Kate in 2011), so no one should expect an extra day off for Eugenie’s wedding either.
