Star Wars: Battlefront II Adds Ewok Hunt Mode

DICE has announced a new limited-time mode for Star Wars: Battlefront II that pits Storm Troopers against their greatest nemeses: Ewoks.

The mode, which is part of the Night on Endor update on April 18, has the muppet-like native Endorians ambushing the hapless Imperial Storm Troopers trying to survive the attack. From DICE’s explanation of the new mode:

In Ewok Hunt, you start as
an Ewok or in a group of stormtroopers. The ambush begins as Ewoks attack unsuspecting
stormtroopers, using spears, Wisties, and other skills to take down their
opponents. Each stormtrooper defeated spawns as another Ewok, multiplying until
the Empire’s forces have been completely eliminated, and the Ewok celebration
can begin. However, the stormtroopers’ superior training and firepower are more
than a match for the Ewoks. Armed with a cadre of weapons as well as
flashlights to pierce the darkness, players must hold back the Ewok’s ambush if
they have a hope of surviving until an extraction team can arrive.”

The update also coincides with the return of crystals, now limited to cosmetic items only in Battlefront II. Being an Endor event, Endor Han Solo and Endor Leia are the two main costumes for this update.

Our Take
Hopefully the ghost of young Anakin does not appear near any bonfires in this map.
