Photo Reveals Emily O'Brien And Troy Baker Join Cast Of Death Stranding

An Instagram photo posted by an actress reveals she and another well-known voice actor have joined Death Stranding’s cast.

Emily O’Brien, who is in PlayStation 4’s upcoming zombie title Days Gone and plays Gamora in TellTale’s Guardians of the Galaxy, posted a photo on her Instagram account showing her between Norman Reedus and Troy Baker. “Honored to be working alongside these two fine lads on Hideo Kojima’s new project Death Stranding,” the now-deleted post said. “I’m a lucky gal ;).”

Baker has starred in numerous high-profile games, including Revolver Ocelot in the last game Kojima made, Metal Gear Solid V. Baker’s other prominent roles including Joel in The Last of Us, Sam Drake in Uncharted 4, and The Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins. Reedus, the first actor revealed to be in Death Stranding, is best known for playing Daryl in The Walking Dead TV show and Murphy MacManus in Boondock Saints.

The latest trailer for Death Stranding is eight minutes and debuted at The Game Awards 2017. The trailer before that revealed actor Mad Mikkelsen and film director Guillermo Del Toro have roles in the title. Did we mention the game also has some pretty cool fog?

There is no confirmed release date for Death Stranding.

Our Take
We’re not surprised that Baker is in the game because he’s had myriad roles in the last few years, including Metal Gear Solid V, the last game Kojima made. Still, it’s exciting to see actors like him and O’Brien expand the cast of this increasingly cryptic but alluring title.
