March 10 is Mario Day. Get it? Because it’s Mar10. To
celebrate the occasion, Google and Nintendo are putting Mario on the map – literally.
On the Google Maps app for Android
users on Mario Day can activate Mario Time, which makes a yellow question mark
appear next to locales. Tapping on the marker makes Mario (in a kart, naturally) pop up on
the map to take you to the destination. Google has yet to say if alleged best
friends will toss a last-second blue shell at you just before you arrive.
Google and Nintendo teamed up in 2016 for a similar
event to celebrate the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, in
which Link acted as the navigator.
