Iconoclasts, the excellent Metroid-inspired platformer that released for PC, PlayStation 4, and Vita earlier this year, is coming to Switch with a few additions.
It doesn’t have a specific release date other than “later this year”, but the Switch version of the game will have expanded difficulty options and a boss rush mode. Players will be able to change difficulty in the middle of the game in case you want to drop the challenge for one specific sequence or boss. There will also be, “a difficulty that lets you get past harder challenges without dying,” according to the game’s developer, Joakim Sandberg. The difficulty options and boss rush modes will also be made available for the PlayStation 4, Vita, and PC versions of the game.
For more on Iconoclasts, you can read our 9 out of 10 review here. You can also read our spoiler-filled chat with the game’s sole developer, Joakim Sandberg, here, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that if you haven’t played yet and are waiting for the Switch version of the game.
MP2 Games is porting Iconoclasts to Nintendo Switch! The game is releasing later this year with a new Boss Rush mode, and will be playable at EGX. Congratulations to @konjak, and hope all of you will be able to play it soon!!
