Some are inventive, others more business-savvy.
In case you’ve been living somewhere other than planet earth for the past few months, you’ll be more than aware that Kardashian babies are being announced and born left right and centre.
In this week alone, not only were we blessed with the episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in which Khloé announced her pregnancy, but Kim Kardashian also welcomed her third baby. Meanwhile, we’re still waiting patiently for Kylie to confirm that she’s expecting too.

The latest cycle of rumours, theories and confirmations has got me thinking about all the other inventive and business-savvy ways the Kardashians have announced their pregnancies over the years. So, without further ado, let’s take a trip down memory lane.
Kourtney Kardashian with Mason Disick, 2009
The first Kardashian pregnancy came at a time when Kris Jenner was concerned that the family had run out of storylines and marked not only the start of a brand new generation, but a shift in the way in which they utilised real-life events to maximize ratings. The first phase of Kourtney’s announcement came via a statement to E! confirming the pregnancy. However, because her relationship with Scott Disick had ended months before, she teased fans of the show by telling them that they’d have to “tune in” to the new season of Kourtney And Khloé Take Miami to discover who the father was. Four days later the new season began, but Kourtney finding out she was pregnant was reserved for the finale, which also became the highest-rated of the series. The episode also confirmed that Scott was the father and that their relationship was back on.
Kourtney Kardashian with Penelope Disick, 2011
This was the first and only time the family has announced a pregnancy with a magazine. Kourtney appeared on the cover of Us Weekly under the headline: “Yes, I’m pregnant!” before reiterating the announcement with an exclusive statement to E!
Kourtney Kardashian with Reign Disick, 2014
In the perfect alignment of nature and reality TV, Kourtney became pregnant exactly three months before season nine of Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered. Rumours of her pregnancy began swirling in May 2014, with Kris Jenner teasing the hell out of everyone by saying in an interview: “The only way I can answer that question is you’ll just have to tune in on Sunday night and get the answer. By the end of Sunday night’s episode, you’ll have your answer.” Sure enough, we saw Kourtney revealing her pregnancy to a flabbergasted Scott Disick in the highest-rated episode of the season.
Kim Kardashian with Saint West, 2015
After 18 months of struggling to conceive – which was charted in full on Keeping Up With The Kardashians – Kim became pregnant and managed to keep it a secret until the mid-season finale of season ten. Hours before the finale aired, she took to Twitter to tease the news, and at the end of the episode a teaser-trailer for the rest of the season was shown in which Kim announced to Khloé that she was pregnant. One month later, she confirmed the gender of her baby in an Instagram post dedicated to Kanye West on Father’s Day.
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna with Dream Kardashian, 2016
Rob and Chyna’s relationship caused monumental family drama, and just three weeks after announcing they were engaged, Rob also delivered the news that Chyna was pregnant. He shared the news via Instagram using one of Chyna’s personalised “Chy-mojis” which depicted her with a pregnant stomach, alongside a caption consisting of a bride and baby emoji. Chyna then shared the exact same image and emojis on her own page, and also tagged Rob’s name on the baby bump in the photo.
Kim Kardashian with baby number three, 2017
In a move very similar to the announcement of her second pregnancy, Kim confirmed that she and Kanye were expecting a third baby in the teaser trailer for season 14 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. When the full episode aired, we also got confirmation of the fact that they’d chosen to use a surrogate because of the medical issues Kim experienced in her first two pregnancies.
Khloé Kardashian with baby number one, 2017
After literally months of speculation and theorising, Khloé broke recent Kardashian tradition by not confirming her pregnancy on the show. Instead, she shared the news via Instagram, just a few days before Christmas. Khloé posted a photo of her and boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s hands cradling her pregnant stomach alongside a caption in which she revealed how happy she was.
Unbeknownst to the public, however, Khloé had allowed the KUWTK cameras in on the exact moment she discovered she was pregnant.
They were also there to capture the moment she announced the news to her family in an emotional episode that aired on Sunday night.
So, by my reckoning, that means there is just one final Kardashian konfirmation to come…
